To tie it all in, Nexon has soft launched Power Rangers: All Stars in select countries ahead of a worldwide release. But you can try the game out right now thanks to a simple hack.Nexon's Power Rangers: All Stars will have you collect heroes from across the Power Rangers universe and form teams of up to five of your favorite rangers to do battle against evil forces that are out to conquer the galaxy. As a multiplayer game, you have the ability to form allegiances with other players and conduct online raids to gather loot, or battle other players in the dimensional arena to gain glory. Of course, the game wouldn't be complete if it didn't have the usual RPG elements, such as leveling up your rangers and their weaponry through battle. And to top it off, Power Rangers: All Stars lets you form and pilot various Megarzords to stomp on foes and aid in your quest to collect more epic rangers and loot. As a soft-launched game, Power Rangers: All Stars isn't available for download for regions outside Australia, the Philippines, or New Zealand. Thankfully, there's a simple workaround to download the game, and I'll outline it below.

In case you didn't catch the big event in Cupertino, Apple just unveiled two of the most cutting-edge phones ever made — the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X. Out of the many glorious specs that were rattled off on stage, one stands out for being just a little confusing: Both models are rated IP67 under the IEC standard 60529.First, let's get that IEC 60529 stuff out of the way. This is simply a standard published by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association — in other words, a test with specific rules and regulations. Depending on how a device fares in this test, it's given an IP rating for dust and water resistance. To quote the standard:This standard describes a system for classifying the degrees of protection provided by enclosures of electrical equipment for two conditions: 1) the protection of persons against access to hazardous parts and protection of equipment against the ingress of solid foreign objects and 2) the ingress of water. The degree of protection against these two conditions is designated by an IP Code.
— National Electrical Manufacturers Association, IEC 60529The "IP Code" mentioned at the end there technically stands for "International Protection Marking," but it has colloquially come to mean "Ingress Protection." Citing the fact that the water-resistant seals on the new iPhone models may fail due to normal wear, they state that liquid damage will not be covered under warranty, in no uncertain terms.iPhone X is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529. Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions. Liquid damage not covered under warranty.

Despite a very vocal distaste for Bixby, Samsung continues to push their voice assistant on customers. For many, the button is not only a waste, but placed perfectly for accidental presses. While it appears Samsung has no intention of giving up on Bixby, with the help of an excellent app, you can get rid of it yourself.When Bixby-disabling apps started appearing on the Play Store, Samsung did their best to block them. Only a few managed to circumvent this block, and continue to work, even on the latest Galaxy Note 9. Unless you are one of the few who prefers Bixby over other voice assistants, here how to remap the button to make it open a more useful app.
Be AwareAs I mentioned, Samsung has already blocked Bixby remapping apps using firmware updates in the past. So there is a chance the app below might stop working in the future. That being said, the developer of this app has a great track record for finding workarounds to Samsung's block attempts, so even if a software update blocks it, we're pretty sure Jawomo will find a way around it again.

Step 1: Install bxActionsbxActions is a free to download app on the Google Play Store that allows you to remap the Bixby button on your Galaxy Note 9. Use the link below on your mobile device to grab the app.Play Store Link: bxActions - Change Buttons (free)

Step 2: Enable PermissionsAfter installing bxActions, open the app and tap "Next" to see a list of permissions you need to enable for the app to work. These are all required for the app's core functionality of remapping the Bixby button.Selecting the toggle "Get foreground app" will transfer you to the Usage Data Access page with a GIF. Select the button below it to dismiss the GIF, then locate bxActions on the Usage Data Access page. Select it, then enable the toggle. Once enabled, you will be transferred back to the initial page with the permission requests. Select the second toggle to be transferred to the accessibility page. Again, a GIF will be presented which can be dismissed using the button below it. Select "bxActions — Bixbi button" and enable the toggle. Choose "OK" on the popup to return to the initial permission page and select "Done."

Step 3: Remap the Bixby ButtonOn the new page, choose "Bixbi button" and select "Single Press." Under the "Choose Action" page, select how you want to remap the button. You can outright disable it if you don't want to use the button at all, make it a home or back button, launch an app, launch a Tasker task, control media, launch Google Assistant, and so much more. Find the action you are looking for and select it. Tap the back arrow in the upper-left corner of your display to save your action.

Step 4: Test Out the ButtonFrom any screen, press the Bixby button to see if your new action activates. For our devices, provided to us by Verizon, we switch the button to the camera, allowing us to capture those precious once-in-a-lifetime moments even faster with the click of a button. Besides a single press, bxActions has even more features for those willing to pay. For $2.99, you can access new features such as the ability to activate another action by long-pressing the Bixby button. Additionally, you can configure a different action when long-pressed on the lock screen. Some of the other controls require a computer to access. No longer do you have to worry about accidentally activating Bixby anymore. Instead, you can enjoy the fact that Samsung gave you another button with the Galaxy Note 9 which can be used to improve workflow on your device. As a result, it made the chance of the Axon 9 arriving almost impossible since both Qualcomm and Google are American companies.While there was some question as to whether Google's Android operating system was subject to the ban (since it was open source), there was no question about Qualcomm, making it impossible for ZTE Axon 9 to use the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm (or any other chips). But since the ban was lifted, ZTE should have no problem using the latest from Qualcomm.

Two VariantWhen ZTE first introduced the Axon series back in 2015, they released two models, the ZTE Axon and ZTE Axon Pro. While they skipped the pro model with the Axon 7, it appears they are bringing it back with the Axon 9 series. An official Weibo post by ZTE shows the Pro model, which has a different design from the previously leaked Axon 9.Similar to the Pixel 3 lineup, ZTE will have one phone with a display notch and one without, with the Pro version being the former. While no rumors have come out regarding the specs of the Pro version, we expect a slightly bigger screen to separate the two products. Four CamerasAccording to AndroidHits, the Axon 9 will have four cameras — two in the front and two in the rear. While we don't know the specs of the secondary lenses, we do know the primary camera in the rear is 20 MP and the primary front camera is 13 MP. We don't much else about the camera, specifically whether they are wide-angle or telephoto, but we can at least assume that portrait mode should be available on both cameras.

Capacitive KeysFrom the leaked images, it looks like the Axon 9 will join the small list of Android smartphones which still include capacitive keys. A majority of devices have eliminated these hardware buttons in the pursuit of thin bezels, but it looks ZTE is bucking this trend. Pricing & Release DateWhile many speculated ZTE would announce the Axon 9 during IFA 2018, ZTE has officially announced the date on their Twitter and Weibo. The Axon 9 and 9 Pro will be announced on August 30th, a day before IFA. It will start at 10:00 am Eastern Time, perfect for US customers to watch the event.As for pricing, rumors suggest the Axon 9 will follow its predecessor and be offered at a midrange price point — at least when compared to current flagship pricing. The ZTE Axon 9 should be priced somewhere between $550 and $630 dollars. What We Don't KnowCurrently, neither the leaked images nor rumors address the elephant in the room, the inclusion of a headphone jack. The Axon 7 not only included one but had one of the best 3.5 mm headphone jacks when it was released two years ago. Its inclusion of a Hi-Fi DAC allowed it to excel at audio and top our list of the best midrange phones for music lovers, so it would be a shame for ZTE to abandon this feature.Additionally, there is no mention of speakers outside of their placement on the back of the phone. One of the main advantages the Axon 7 held over the OnePlus 3 was its audio capability. It was one of the first phones to offer Dolby Atmos and provided one the cleanest sounding speakers (a feature only topped by the recently released Razer Phone). Many fans of the Axon series (including myself) hope ZTE continues their focus on audio quality.

Cable TV providers were dealt a pretty significant blow on Thursday, February 18th, 2016, when the Federal Communications Commission decided that customers should have a choice in what type of device they use to watch cable, instead of being forced to rent a set-top box.This opens up the possibility that you'll be able to watch cable television live on devices like Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, and Android TV.In the near-term, these companies would probably engineer a coaxial jack onto their device to plug cable into. Part of the FCC proposal forces cable companies to provide channel and video-on-demand listings as well, so you theoretically would have the same access to that as you would on a rental box.In the future, who knows. Some people think that your cable subscription will be stored on your Roku, etc., so that you can take it with you and watch live on any TV you plug into.I'm a little more skeptical about that last part, considering the TV and internet come through the same cable, and providers will almost surely want to limit where you can watch so they don't lose subscribers to password-sharing.
The Cable Companies RespondThis sounds pretty exciting for us cord-cutters, but we might be getting a little ahead of ourselves. The proposed rules aren't official yet, and cable companies like Time Warner and Comcast are assembling a coalition to fight the FCC.National Cable & Telecommunications Association CEO, Michael Powell, argues that these new rules will take five years or more to implement, and that it seems like most companies are moving toward airing their content on apps like HBO Now, Netflix, and Hulu.Really, cable customers spend an average of $231 per year on box rental fees alone, and providers would hate to give that up. According to Massachusetts senator Edward Markey, cable providers could be collecting $19.5 billion or more per year on cable box rentals alone.Cable companies say this FCC proposal will lead to increased subscription prices, which is probably true, because they'll want to make up that $20 billion somehow. "It's going to cost you more!" is a common threat from entrenched companies, and it's a pretty empty threat—it won't cost you anything if you refuse to pay it.
What Does This Mean?This gets thrown around a lot, but some are once again saying that this is the "death of cable." And maybe it's the beginning of the end for cable television, but like I said, these companies are the ones giving us internet access as well, and that's probably not going away any time soon. Sure, Google Fiber is expanding (though I probably can't expect it here in Philly any time soon, or ever), but it's not even close to widespread enough yet to make much of an impact.If cable TV subscriptions continue slipping, the providers will in all likelihood just jack up the price of your internet connection and keep giving you the same mediocre (at best) service.The coalition against the FCC proposal says that its implementation would stymie innovation for cable TV."When is the last time that competition thwarted innovation rather than spurring innovation?" FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said in defending the proposal. As an Android user, there aren't many elements of my friend's iPhone that I find myself envious of, because anything he can do on iOS, I can surely find a way to do on Android...often better.That being said, I have to admit that one feature I do like is the minimal style and layout of iOS 8's status bar. With the time centered and the Wi-Fi icon and signal bars aligned to the left, the iOS status bar appears better organized with less clutter, which is exactly what I want.As stated, you can (almost) always find a way to do anything iOS can do on Android, so today I'll be showing you how to make your Android status bar look and feel like an iPhone's. Getting Your Device ReadyEnsure that your Android device is both rooted and running the Xposed Framework. Also, let me state that this process will unfortunately not work on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Bummer, I know.

Step 1: Install iOS 8 KillerDownload and install iOS 8 Killer from developer Ahmed Aljazwi. This app is not on the Google Play Store, so before installing, make sure you have Unknown sources enabled in your settings, if not already done. Step 3: Center the ClockThis process wouldn't be complete without centering the clock like iOS 8 has. While we may have to wait for an update for iOS 8 Killer to include this feature, you can still easily achieve this using XBlast Tools.Just launch Xblast Tools and navigate to Status Bar -> Clock Settings -> Center clock. After a quick reboot, your status bar will be looking very similar to an iPhone's. (1) Status bar on iOS 8. (2) Android status bar with iOS 8 Killer. It may not be an exact match, but it's definitely a close match.
