How To: Make the Music on Your Smartphone Automatically Turn Off When You Fall Asleep
Tons of people listen to music while going to sleep, but some don't like to leave it playing all night. If you hate waking up in the middle of the night and having to turn off your music, why not make your smartphone do it for you?For Android users, there's a free app called Music Off that uses your phone's accelerometer to monitor your body movement and determine when you're in a deep sleep. Once it does, it will gradually turn down the volume on your music until it's silent. A widget on the home screen lets you change the length of time it takes for the music to turn down, and makes the app super simple to use.For iPhone users, there is a similar app, but it costs $2.99. Autosleep Music Timer monitors vibrations using the iPhone's accelerometer to turn off any music application when you fall asleep, and also keeps track of how long it takes each night.
